Writing for EdTA’s ‘Teaching Theatre’ Magazine

Theatre Avenue had an incredible opportunity this summer. EdTA’s Anita Manderfield reached out to me to write an article about projection design for their summer buying guide of ‘Teaching Theatre.’ With the goal of teaching the essential tips of getting started using projections in high school theatre, Anita had the idea that we fashion a narrative through the eyes of a high school who made digital backdrops work in their program.

I selected Chantilly High School in Virginia, who I’ve worked with several times now to create custom projections for their shows. To see the full article, you do have to be a subscriber to ‘Teaching Theatre,’ which you can do here. I’ve also included a few photos below showing our exciting debut! If you’re looking for good resource you can get your hands on today to start rolling with digital projections in your school or company, check these 5 Tips for Getting Started.
