You can feel it in the air.
And also in the record number of times people have watched the simple teaser trailer Disney released for their upcoming live-action adaptation of ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
You have to admit. Everything looks and feels right for this film so far. The stunning and highly imaginative production design. The air of mystery and steady, confident placing of its early marketing. And then of course Disney’s recent track record with ‘Cinderella’ and ‘The Jungle Book,’ where they brought in smart, visionary directors and gave them the freedom to make the films fun, beautiful and truly original in their own way. It should be no different with Bill Condon (‘Gods and Monsters’ and ‘Dreamgirls’) at the helm.
I am really looking forward to seeing this one, especially on the big screen. And theatre directors and teachers—we ‘may’ just have some projections in the works over the next few months in case you’re already eyeing how to do your own version:)
